Let's Make Your Visit Smooth and Stress-Free

We strive to provide a luxurious, personalized experience for every client. Our owner, Tylersue, has established the following salon policies to maintain a harmonious environment and ensure the best possible service. Please take a moment to review them before your appointment to make your visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible!

Cancellation, Reschedule, No-Show, and Sickness Policies

Cancellation & Rescheduling

At Recoiled Salon, we implement a strict cancellation policy. I require 48 hours notice or more when canceling or rescheduling, regardless of when you originally booked your appointment. Canceling or rescheduling within that 48-hour window will result in a 100% charge applied to the card on file for all of the services scheduled for your appointment. In the event that your card cannot be charged, you will be required to pay the cancellation fee from the previous service in full to rebook another appointment.

Sickness-Related Cancellation

If you cancel your appointment within 48 hours due to ANY sickness, you will be charged 100% of your service to the card on file, and you will be given up to four weeks to reschedule your next appointment. You will then be credited the full amount of your last scheduled/canceled appointment on the day of your rescheduled service. You must choose the same appointment when rebooking your session or risk forfeiting the remainder of your current balance, as it will not be rolled over to another future service. This is being implemented to ensure last-minute cancellation integrity.

No-Show Policy

No-shows are unacceptable, and we send plenty of courtesy text and email confirmations to remind you that your appointment is coming up. No-call/no-shows will be charged a fee of 100% of your scheduled service. You may also be blacklisted from ever being able to book again. My no-show terms are non-negotiable and at my discretion, barring rare circumstances like hospitalizations or true emergencies. These terms are non-negotiable.

How To Wear Your Hair For Your Appointment

I'd like to thank you in advance for following these instructions, which will allow me to give you the best service possible and complete your service within the time allotted in my schedule. I do my absolute best to run on time for my guests, and following these instructions is an integral part of that process.

To help you get the best haircut and also the best overall experience, please do the following:

Please wash, style, and fully dry your hair within 24 hours of your appointment to help me give you the best and most accurate cut possible. Arrive with your hair in a freshly styled state that accurately represents how you usually style it, including the usual products you use. Please don't arrive with your hair in a ponytail or bun. These styles will disrupt your natural curl pattern, and it is not the ideal way to be worn for me to give you the quality cut that I'm known for. During the curly cut, I begin by cutting the hair dry, then wash and style it. That is why it is imperative that you follow these instructions.

***If you cannot style your hair curly, you need to book a Curl Discovery first, where we review the steps to style your hair. You will also be sent a curl guide to help you stay on track with the styling.***

Curl Discovery & Styling

During this appointment, your hair will be styled, so there are no requirements regarding how to wear it. Just come as you are, and let me show you the rest.

Clothing During Your Service

Please wear a shirt without a collar to color appointments. While it is rare, color may end up on clothing, so please keep that in mind when dressing for your appointment. I suggest bringing an old T-shirt to change into under your cape to guarantee the safety of your clothing. To further protect your clothing, I recommend changing into a wrap. Recoiled Salon is not responsible for clothing during a color service.

Arriving For Your Appointment

Please plan to arrive ten minutes before your appointment time to guarantee you will be available when your service is scheduled to begin. Consider traffic (or construction zones) for the time of day of your appointment. Major surrounding roads can get congested and as much as double your commute time, especially around 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Late Arrivals

Late arrivals can throw my day into chaos and cause a domino effect of unnecessary stress and tension for both my clients and myself, so my policy is that I do not accept late arrivals after 15 minutes.

If you arrive 15 minutes past the start of your appointment, I will not be able to provide your service, and you'll need to reschedule. If you're late, I may not be able to give you the full service that you booked. I also may have to reschedule you for another time when I can complete your service without rushing to stay on schedule for the rest of the day.

Color/Blonding Services Pricing

When you reserve an appointment with me, you agree to the minimum service price for that appointment, with the understanding that pricing is on an “and up” basis.

All color services include Olaplex treatments and average product amounts needed to complete the service at the starting price. During the consultation, we will discuss whether you might need more product due to the length/density of your hair, which may cause the price to go up.

Haircuts may be booked as an add-on service to any color appointment and are not included in the stand-alone service pricing.

Important Reminders

Please remember, especially with grey coverage, that regrowth will appear quickly, even within a week or two for some people, and that hair grows on average about half an inch to one inch per month. Also note that glossing services do fade and are not permanent colors, and the health of your hair will affect the longevity of your color.

Re-Do's or Adjustments

After your service is completed, if you feel that you need an adjustment or something isn't quite right, please email me within seven days of the service at tylersue.curlyhair@gmail.com with the subject line “Re-Do/Adjustment.” When contacting me, please let me know your specific concerns or issues and include a few clear, well-lit pictures of the area of concern. This does not necessarily mean you will have another appointment set to resolve the issue, but we will discuss the options in the email.

Guests During Your Appointment

Please do not bring guests (this includes spouses, kids, and friends) to your appointment. The only exception is if you are accompanying your child during their service. Due to the size of my suite, I don't have room for additional guests. If you arrive with a guest, they will be asked to wait outside the salon building until your appointment is over.

Refunds or Exchanges

Recoiled Salon does not offer refunds on services or products. Due to the nature of my small business, the pandemic, and the ability to “try before you buy” every product I have for sale (minus Olaplex NO. 0 and NO. 3) during your appointment, I do not accept returns on retail items. However, they can be exchanged for something else of equal or lesser value within seven days of purchase. Adjustments can be made to a cutting service within seven days of the appointment and seven days for a color appointment.

Color Corrections

Color corrections will most likely take more than one session, and price quotes are always on an "and up" basis.

I take steps to help preserve and maintain the integrity of your hair, so treatments like deep conditioners or bond builders are included in the service and are non-negotiable. For all new guests or anyone wanting a color correction, I need to see pictures before you book — this helps both of us.

Once I see your hair and clearly understand your goal, I can tell you whether I can give you what you're looking for or if it’s something I can achieve while maintaining the integrity of your hair. I can also tell you how many sessions it will take to get you where you want to be and give you an idea of the cost. Color corrections require a non-refundable deposit and must be booked by me (Tylersue). Please email tylersue.curlyhair@gmail.com to book your appointment for a color correction.
